Travaille rings in the New Year with a new search for a web-based Media Company. They are currently looking for a DIRECTOR, SALES MARKETING AND CUSTOMER SUPPORT.Location: East Coast or Los AngelesEducation: Bachelors Degree in Marketing, Business Administration, Media Development or Communications.


1.The professional for this position must have at least five years of experience in the area of designing and delivering marketing plans and tactics that generate the sale of subscriptions (memberships) for video content whether delivered over cable or Internet TV networks.

2.The professional should also have experience in tactical execution of multi-step marketing campaigns, revenue forecasting, and budget development and maintenance.

3.In addition, this professional should be adept at developing and communicating status reports and presentations to executive management.

4.It would be a competitive advantage if this candidate also has superior writing skills and can contribute to the writing of messages and content that are used in marketing campaigns and tactics.

Summary of Position

The candidate selected for this position will be responsible for designing and delivering sales marketing programs that support two revenue streams for a web-based, media company. Those two revenue streams are: (1) the sale of video and text content sold a la carte and via subscriptions (called memberships), and (2) advertising revenue generated via YouTube.

The winning candidate will also be responsible for managing the professional (s) in customer support.

Typical duties include the maintenance of the Company’s email list, web site optimization and acquisition, sale of memberships for the company’s video-based websites (new, current, and former members), sale of a la carte products, YouTube optimization, and working with the customer support team to anticipate customer questions and to ensure that inquiries are handled professionally. This employee also works with management to identify and cultivate and manage additional revenue streams. He/she ensures supervision of these programs, takes action needed to guarantee results and manages the cost of these programs to stay within budget.
